Here we go – the Final Four. Isn’t this what we expected back in August? Well maybe with one exception- the Arroyo Knights. “We’re the team with the funny little powder blue uniforms that everybody makes fun of. But we just keep winning,” said Arroyo HC Jim Singiser Friday night.
1. Monrovia (11-1) – The Wildcats have been here since the summer. Doesn’t look like they’re going anywhere soon. A win this Friday night and the Cats are doing snow angels.
2. Paraclete (8-4) – Spirits dispatch Pomona and now they’re right where they want to be- at home against Monrovia. Melquise Stovall!
3. San Dimas (8-4) – Yes the Saints moved up to number three. After eight straight blowouts it was inevitable. Since September 27, the closest margin of victory was San Marino last Friday night- and that was by 28 points!
4. Arroyo (11-1) – The Papa Singiser factor, a bigger front line, a running attack, Nathan Coto, a bend but don’t break defense, Coach Singiser’s motivational speeches, whatever it is…it all adds up to Arroyo’s first semi final appearance since 2004.
