1. Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin is fined $100,000  for interfering with a kickoff return in Thursday night’s game against Baltimore.

2. The Spurs-Timberwolves game in Mexico City Wednesday night was postponed because of an electrical fire inside the arena.

3. North Carolina knocks off # 1 Michigan State 79-65 Wednesday night in East Lansing.

4. UCLA has started the season 8-0 under first year Coach Steve Alford.

5. On this date in 2003 Los Altos beat Mayfair 32-20 in the CIF Division VI Semi Finals to advance to the Championship game against Orange Lutheran. The Conquerors won the title match 21-17.

6. Ohio State at Michigan State Saturday 5:00 p.m.

7. The Kings (18-7-4) and the Ducks (18-7-5) have nearly identical records after the Kings beat the Ducks 3-2 Tuesday night.
