1. Stephen Strasberg pitched 7 and one-third innings, allowed two runs, and struck out six as the Nationals beat the Dodgers 3-2 Wednesday.

2. Roy Hibbert bounces back from a forgettable performance with 28 points and nine rebounds to lead Indiana to an 86-82 win over Washington to even the Eastern Conference Playoff series at one.

3. Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl defensive lineman Marcel Dareus is arrested on drug charges.

4. Jimmy Ellis a heavyweight champion who fought Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali, passed away Tuesday at the age of 74. Ellis lost to Frazier in a fight to unify the world heavyweight championship in 1970. In 1971 Ellis was stopped by Ali in the 12th round.

5. Mike Mayock of the NFL Network has Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles going to Tennessee with the 11th pick in the NFL draft. He has South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney going number one to Houston and Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel to Dallas at 16.

6. “Not with La Serna appearing in the last three CIF Finals.” – California AD Jim Arnold when asked if there’s a chance the Del Rio League could end up in the Mid-Valley Division.

7. Kevin Durant was awarded the MVP award before the game and then went out and scored 32 points to lead Oklahoma City to a 112-101 win over the Clippers to even the Western Conference playoff series at one.

8. Happy Birthday to former Pittsburgh Steeler Coach Bill Cowher who turns 57 today.

9. Pomona’s Shawn Wilson 2013 stats, junior year: Receiving: 42-842 yards, 11 TD; Defense: 66 tackles, 30 assisted, 96 total.

10. On this date in 1970 the New York Knicks beat the Lakers 113-99 to win the NBA Championship in seven games. Willis Reed is named MVP.
