2. In 1987 Mike Tyson beats Tony Tucker for the heavyweight boxing title.

3. On this date in 1978 Pete Rose goes hitless to end 44-game hit streak.

4. Red Sox trade Jon Lester and Jonny Gomes to Oakland for All Star outfielder Yoenis Cespedes.

5. Diamond Backs trade infielder Martin Prado to Yankees for minor league catcher Pete O’Brien.

6. La Canada graduate, Olympic luger and current BYU student Kate Hansen working the pre-game and between inning festivities at Dodger Stadium.

7. Tigers land former Cy Young winner David Price at the trade deadline.

8. After a severe leg injury Anderson Silva will return to face Nick Diaz at UFC 178.

9. Arroyo heads to San Marino on September 29th.
