QB Steven Nava is back at Rosemead

(Rosemead) – Quarterback Steven Nava, who checked out of Bishop Amat last week, returned to Rosemead Wednesday sources confirmed.

Nava had a big year for the Panthers last year throwing for over 1200 yards and 13 touchdowns. He played in several passing tournaments with Rosemead in the summer including the Charter Oak Tournament before transferring to Bishop Amat in June.

Since Nava transferred out, sophomore Isaia Ah-Hing has been taking snaps as the starting quarterback. Nava transferred out of Amat for personal reasons.

The paperwork was submitted on Monday but the District didn’t clear it until Wednesday. Nava has already been cleared by CIF and is expected to play right away.
