(Glendale) – Muir finally found the end zone more than one time during a game as they strolled to a 30-0 win over Glendale to open Pacific League play.

The Mustangs offense matched their season points total in the second quarter by scoring 17 points in 12 minutes.

Chase Keough went nine of 17 for 207 yards and three touchdowns to lead Muir’s offense.

While leading 10-0 midway through the second quarter, Keough found Devin Leagons wide open for a 64 yard touchdown pass that solidified the Mustangs lead.

***Leagons finished the night with five receptions and 130 yards receiving and a touchdown.

***Muir continues to shoot itself in the foot with penalities, tonight they finished with 15 for 135 yards which gave the Nitros a few first downs.

***The Mustangs managed just 295 yards in total offense.

***Matthew Gibson and Edward Jones each intercepted a pass for Muir in their win.

***Brian Reyes closed out the scoring for the Mustangs with a 26 yard touchdown reception from Keough.

***Don’t remember a time that I watched Glendale sack a quarterback, let alone do it three times to Muir all in the first half.

***The Nitros also caused three fumbles that were recovered. Luis Piedra and Brian Sulub recovered two of the three fumbles.

***Daniel Jung and Luis Ruiz did yeoman’s work at running back for Glendale running for 115 yards on 38 carries.

***Nitros wide receiver Ricky Loudermill was limited to one catch for 20 yards

***Glendale only managed just 108 yards total offense in the loss.
