1.) On this day in 1976 Joe Namath played his last game for the New York Jets.

2.) Longtime MVS staffer/singer/Bassett Alum Matt Schuler turns 28

4.) Nipomo free safety Peyton Witcher intercepted one pass in ten regular season games. In four Northwest Divison playoff games, including the title game against Arrowhead Christian, Witcher intercepted eight. Nipomo, which opened in 2002, won its first CIF title.

5.) December 12, 2013: The Dodgers announce they do not plan to trade Matt Kemp.
