How do you think the Dallas Cowboys feel about Detroit’s Ndamukong Suh’s suspension being reduced to a $70,000 fine?  If anything it tells us Jerry Jones doesn’t run the NFL. I think it is the wrong decision, I don’t think Suh should be allowed to play, and I’m rooting for the Lions from the get-go!

Jim Haslett is out after five seasons as defensive coordinator for the Washington Redskins. This is good news for Redskins fans, but bad news for Oakland Raiders faithful as I’m sure he’s been added to their retread head coaching search along with Eric Mangini.

In the Comments:

Note to Foot Fetish: I did try to disengage from the Rams after they left, but I couldn’t. Too much history, scar tissue, emotional attachment. I tried to go Chiefs and Redskins, even the Jets a bit, but while I’ll still root for those teams a crushing defeat won’t haunt me the way a 27-16 loss to Dallas does from 1973, a 14-10 Vikings loss in 1974, a 37-7 loss to the Cowboys in 1975, back to back losses (24-13 & 14-7) to Minnesota in 1976-1977, and 28-0 to Dallas in 1978.

Note to Matt: I still preach patience. You’ve got a quarterback and everyone whiffs in the draft…even Bill Belichick. Stay the course and stay away from Eric Mangini and Jim Haslett. If either of those guys start collecting paychecks from the Silver & Black, turn in your eye patch…Matt you also have to realize your dealing with the bad mojo of Al Davis. It permeates the organization, so short of Father Merrin and Father Karras coming in and performing an exorcism, you’re just going to have to let it play out.

Now that the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams season is officially six-feet under…I feel unburdened to talk openly about the NFL.

We feel like we get to know a lot of you from what you post on Mid Valley Sports and just when we think “yeah, that dude’s alright” he turns out to be a Dallas Cowboys fan.

Who is your team? Who do you root for? Why? And who do you like this post-season…Vote in the poll…

In honor of traditional sports talk…Quickly let me lay some hot topics on the table…

***The San Francisco 49ers made a big mistake in letting Jim Harbaugh get away…

***The Denver Broncos look like they’ve run out of gas and age looks like it has landed on Peyton Manning…

***Should the Oakland Raiders retain General Manager Reggie McKenzie?

***Isn’t there something wrong in the NFL if Rex Ryan is allowed to walk into another head coaching job after getting canned by the New York Jets?

***How does it feel San Diego Chargers fans to be on the outside looking in and to always be hanging by thread the last weeks of the season? Is it time for a Bolts overhaul?

***Is a quarterback the only thing keeping the Rams from contending in the NFC?

***Is it time for New York Giants HC Tom Coughlin need to ride off into retirement with his two Super Bowl rings?

***Does Detroit have a chance in Dallas without its WWE defensive tackle?

***Is Drew Brees still the guy for New Orleans or are the Saints looking at some changes in the near future?
