1. The Detroit Lions’ Ndamukong Suh wins his appeal of a one game suspension and will play in Sunday’s playoff game against Dallas.

2. Texas A&M student assistant coach Michael Richardson was fired for striking two West Virginia players on the sideline in Monday’s AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

3. Michigan officially introduces Jim Harbaugh as HC. Seven Years, $35 million plus a $2 million signing bonus.

4. St. Francis beats Ayala 64-56 to win the SGV Basketball Classic.

5. USC defensive lineman Leonard Williams announces he will make himself available for the NFL draft.

6. Kyle Brindza’s 32-yard field goal as time expires gives Notre Dame a 31-28 win over LSU in the American Mortgage Music City Bowl.

7.  Los Altos beats Walnut 55-52 to win the Covina Tournament.

8. Stanford routs Maryland 45-21 in the Foster Farms Bowl in Santa Clara.

9. On this day in 1967 the Lakers beat Houston 147-118 in the first NBA game at the Great Western Forum.

10. Also on this day in 1967 the Green Bay Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys 21-17 in the NFL Championship game dubbed the “Ice Bowl.” Temperature was 13 below zero.
