1.  Maranatha backed by Tyler Dorsey’s 52, knock off Chaminade and will play Crespi Tuesday night in the CIF State Division IV quarterfinals at Maranatha High School.

2.  APU will play Cal Baptist (for the fourth time this year) in the  NCAA Division II West Region final tonight at APU. The winner will advance to the Elite Eight.

3.  Kentucky finishes the regular season 31-0 and gets the #1 overall seed in the DI Men’s College Basketball Championships.

4.  La Mirada beat Canyon 93-73 and advance to the CIF State Divison II quarterfinals and will play Compton at Compton High School.

5.  ESPN is reporting that Jameis Winston does not plan on attending the 2015 NFL draft and will spend the day with family in Alabama.

6.  L.A. Clipper forward Blake Griffin turns 26 today. Griffin shares a birthday with former USC quarterback Rodney Peete who turns 49.

7.  The Dodgers have won their last three preseason games and are 7-2 so far this spring.

8.  On this day in 1996, Mike Tyson TKO’s Frank Bruno to win the heavyweight title.

9.  The New Orleans Pelican’s Anthony Davis had 36 points, 14 rebounds, nine blocks and seven assists in Sunday’s double-overtime loss to Denver.
