(Carson) – The LA Galaxy responded immediately to losing goalkeeper Jaime Penedo. Just one day after Penedo and the Galaxy agreed to part ways Donovan Ricketts was acquired from Orlando City.
Ricketts had a previous stint with the Galaxy starting 70 regular season games for LA and winning an MLS championship in 2011. In 2010 he was named goalkeeper of the year.
Ricketts, 38, was also chosen the league’s top goalkeeper in 2013 while playing for the Portland Timbers. Brian Rowe has been in goal for the Galaxy while Penedo has been playing for Panama in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
