(Rosemead)— Rosemead running back Robbie Franco rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown as the Panthers tallied 460 total yards of offense in a 42-0 shutout over visiting Mountain View on Friday night at Rod Marinelli Stadium.

Following a missed field goal by the Vikings, the Panthers offense marched down the field on their opening drive to score the game’s first touchdown. Quarterback Steven Nava handed the ball to wideout Jordan Parham who weaved his way for a 20-yard touchdown and a 7-0 lead with 5:33 left in the quarter.
Mountain View tried to answer back with a scoring drive of its own. However, it could not pass the 50-yard line and was forced to punt.
After the punt, Rosemead compiled a 16-play drive to push its lead to 14. On fourth and goal from the 3-yard line, Nava handed the ball to Franco who bulldozed his way in for the score and Mead had a 14-0 early in the second quarter.
On the Vikings ensuing possession, tailback Emilio Mejia fumbled and lost the ball at his own 27. Four plays later, on a fourth and long, Nava dropped back and connected with Franco for a 36-yard touchdown.
The Panthers defense forced View to punt with less than two minutes left in the half. Following the punt, they took only three plays to reach the end zone. Nava connected with Parham on a Wheel-route for a 56-yard score.

The Panther offense added two more scores in the third quarter extending their lead to 42. Both scores came on Nava passing touchdowns.
