(Covina) – Matt Bechtel, who led Chino Hills to the West Valley Division semi finals before losing to Mission Viejo has been hired as the new head coach at South Hills.
Bechtel, who stepped down at Chino Hills earlier this month, takes over for Albert Rodriguez who resigned after four years. South Hills went 4-7 last season and fell to Summit in the first round of the Central Division Playoffs.
Bechtel went 25-10 in three years at Chino Hills after taking over for Derek Bub after the 2012 season including 10-3 overall last year. He was the HC at Colony in 2010 and 2011.
