Football junkie Zeke Prado is a ramblin guy!

Good Evening!

T-Minus-251 Days until “The Mid Valley Classic”

When I heard Jack Del Rio’s name I went ballistic…

“Jack Del Rio? Are you kidding me? Jack Del Rio?”

Don’t get me wrong his surname works for that league down the 605, but USC?

Then I heard Lane Kiffin was leaving Tennessee for USC and I went ballistic…

“Why not Jack Del Rio? Why not Jack Del Rio?”

Note to Mike Garrett: Is Lane Kiffin the best you can do? Or does he want the job so bad he’ll suffer through a few probation years believing it will get better.

Kiffin has had more stops lately than former Temple City assistant Zeke Prado…Yeah, we’ll get to him in a minute.

In regards to Kiffin, I don’t trust him. I don’t like his play calling, and I question his judgment. This guy actually thought he was going to HC the Oakland Raiders and be left alone by Al Davis.

In related news rumors have former UCLA DC DeWayne Walker leaving New Mexico State to be Pete Carroll’s DC with the Seattle Seahawks.

Now Walker is taking heat in some circles for considering a bolt to the NFL and shrinking the ranks of black head coaches at the Division One level even more. What was the number at a week ago? Like four?

This upsets people? Well excuse DeWayne Walker for wanting to live his own life instead of being a statistic to make others feel better about themselves.

Much of academia rants about racial sensitivity in mascots and diversity in hiring…but its in the NFL (the capitalist system of free enterprise) that seems to be doing all of the minority hiring. Why is there a problem with the pluralistic, moral, self-righteous intelligentsia on our college campuses with bringing on those of a different hue…Riddle me that Blue State…

Speaking of Zeke “He’s a Ramblin Guy” Prado the former San Gabriel star, the former San Gabriel assistant, the former Dakota Wesleyan assistant, the former East Los Angeles College assistant, and now the former Temple City assistant is looking for a new address.

“Just trying to find the right fit for me,” said Prado.

I roll Cardinals in the NFC. I roll Cardinals in the NFL.

In regards to Andre Dawson, I didn’t think he was quite a Hall of Famer. I was always thinking more in terms of Ellis Valentine in regards to the Hall. I wonder if Blue State has an opinion about Rowland Office?

And since we are doing Hall of Fame talk again, give me a quarterback with two Super Bowl rings…give me Jim Plunkett.

Interesting debate broke out with friends, fans, and staff in regards to who should be the quarterback for Mission Valley League all decade team. One group is screaming for Arroyo’s Dominic Salmon (2003-2005), the other is demanding South El Monte’s Jose Garay (2006-2008).

What do you think?

How about player of the decade in the MVL? Anyone care to toss Tra Sumler into the mix?

Stay thirsty my friends…
