1. Mitch Kupchak’s file as GM with the Lakers since 2000 when Jerry West resigned: 7 Division titles, 6 Conference titles, 4 NBA titles, 13 winning seasons, 4 losing seasons.

2. Free agent catcher Matt Wieters signs a one-year, $10 million deal with the Washington Nationals. Wieters has spent his entire career with the Baltimore Orioles.

3. Sources say the Lakers have inquired about the availability of Paul George of the Indiana Pacers. Laker Team President Magic Johnson called Pacer Team President Larry Bird.

4. MLB has approved the change to the intentional walk rule for 2017, going from the four pitch walk to a dugout signal.

5. The Detroit Pistons are listening to offers for center Andre Drummond.

6. Peninsula at Pasadena; Cantwell at Maranatha; Friday night 7:00 p.m. CIF Playoffs.

7. Dezmond Washington is averaging 20.6 points per game for Blair who will play at Woodcrest Christian Friday night in the Division 4AA Semi Finals.

8. On this date in 1985 Indiana HC Bobby Knight tosses a chair on the court during a game.

9. Pittsburgh Steeler linebacker James Harrison, 38, is seeking a two-year deal.

    When will Los Altos and La Mirada announce new head football coaches? It’s been 1 week since LM finish interviewing candidates? What are they waiting for? I hope the district is not involved as they are clueless.
