Glendora Tourn. @ Henderson Field

Glendora 3 Northview 1

Glendora pitcher Jacob Cage issued a leadoff bomb to Northview’s Tyler Grijalva but shut out the Vikings the rest of the way in a 3-1 victory. Cage worked his way out of a bases loaded jam in the fifth to keep Glendora on top. Joseph Winterburn took over in the seventh and gave up a leadoff single but clinched the Glendora win by striking out the side to earn the save. Cage fanned eight batters out and the hurlers combined for 11 strikeouts.

Eddie Pedroza carried a one (unearned) run no hitter into the fifth and went all the way in the loss, scattering five strikeouts, three runs, and five hits.

The aptly named Woody (Joseph) Woodward slugged what proved to be Glendora’s game winner in the sixth with no outs by drilling a 2 RBI double down the left field line.
