1. The Rams trade Robert Quinn to the Miami Dolphins for a reported mid-round pick and a swap of later round picks.

2. Kobe Bryant’s Dear Basketball won the the Oscar for the Animate Short category last night at the Academy Awards.

3. The APU Men’s and Women’s basketball teams made it into the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament. The men will face Dixie State on Friday at Western Oregon in Monmouth, Oregon and the women will be at home Friday night against Humboldt State.

4. Pasadena Bulldogs will host Narbonne Wednesday night in the first round of the CIF Division I State Basketball Playoffs. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Location not released at time of this publication.

5. Former Dallas Cowboy and Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin turns 52 today.

6. The Glendora Lady Tartans will host Righetti Wednesday night in the first round of the CIF Division II State Basketball Playoffs. In the same bracket, the Mark Keppel Lady Aztecs will host Bakersfield.

7. The Covina Colts will travel to San Diego to take on Francis Parker High School in the first round of the CIF Division IV State Basketball Playoffs.

8. On this day in 1991 Reggie Miller began a 52 game free throw streak for the Indiana Pacers.

9. Duarte, Nogales and La Puente all received an invite to the CIF Division V State Basketball playoffs and all three will be at home on Wednesday night.

    Just a couple years ago they had a good football program. Not great but good enough to compete and be proud of. Back to Back CIF Playoffs. There baseball program was good with a CIF appearance in 2016. Basketball boys was good to. Athletics is big part of schools. BUSD needs to support them. Suprised principal got fired just saw him at the girls basketball CIF game

    Bassett just fired there principal Mr. Greigo. He took the job when all the sports programs were doing well and he destroyed not only the sports programs but any and all academic programs. Kids are transferring out of Bassett unified like roaches when you turn the lights on.
