I’ve been lurking on this website for some time since my grandson is now playing high school sports. But I am somewhat perplexed by the animosity displayed by some who post their comments, some of which can seem quite crass. However, it recently hit me that some of the enmity comes from old high school rivalries that are a continuing feature of the sport. While some of the most notable comments are quite personal, they speak to the competitiveness of those involved and the seriousness with which those who post feel towards the issues of the sport.

This stretching of the Bonita tourney is ridiculous. What’s next…are we going to play the first half of season games on Friday, and finish-up on Saturday?
From T. Peterson: X is right. It’s always like that.
