2. The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Baltimore Ravens 34-23 on Thursday night football.

3. The Seattle Seahawks sign linebacker Mychal Kendricks to a one-year deal. Kendricks was released by Cleveland last month following charges of insider trading.

4. The Dodgers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 9-7 to remain 1.5 games behind the Colorado Rockies in the NL West.

5. Covina running back Erik Cuellar.

6. The New York Mets will activate David Wright and will start him at third base on the second to the last day of the season in what figures to be his last day as a big leaguer.

7. La Serna beat Montebello 56-17 Thursday night.

8. Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Wednesday and he could miss the first few games of the regular season.

9. Los Angeles Clippers announcer Ralph Lawler will retire at the end of the 2018-’19 season – his 40th with the team.

    Good for Cleveland for refusing to indulge that sort of misbehavior. Team owner Jimmy Haslem has standards! There’s no room in his organization for two white collar criminals.

    Fitting that he went to Seattle and during the week of September 11. Pete “Jet Fuel Can’t Melt Steel Beams” is a man who can appreciate an inside job.
