(Pasadena) – Zaire Calvin, a Muir alum, has been named the head football coach of the Mustangs.
Calvin graduated from Muir in 1995 and went on to play college football at Alabama State. Calvin served as an assistant at Muir before spending three years as the DC at Cathedral. Calvin’s son Jamere played at Muir for two years before transferring to Cathedral and is now a sophomore at Washington State.
Calvin takes over for Antyone Sims who was relieved of his duties last month. Muir went 7-3 overall last year (4-3 in the Pacific League) and missed the playoffs.
Mr. CIF, I never used the word transfer, that was your word. I said convinced, the reason being I Know many of your (BOUNCE BACKS). IF you’ve been around football then you know what that refers to.
To Truth. Cathedral gets a few transfers every year. By no means they get as much like alot of upper Schools.
OH I’m sorry , Mr CIF I do apologize, I should get my regions right when it comes to Cathedral. Because Lord knows that the Phantoms wouldn’t do such things.
To Truth, Cathedral has only had 1 Player Transfer from Muir ever Jamire Calvin. Who knows about Arcadia but Alemany was Van Pooling a Ton of kids from Pasadena. Get your facts Straight.
congrats for MUIR, Begs the question does this mean that the kids that have been convinced to go to Cathedral and ARCADIA, will stay home now. Lets hope so.
I applied. Don’t they know who I’am?
Maxie needs to mature A LOT before being a head coach, not ready yet!!
I put in my application at Muir but didn’t even make it to the interview. Muir must have actually done the background check on me.
What is your name? My name is Maxie and I have Twitter fingers
But but everyone loves Trump for his Twitter fingers
Better then R.Maxie.
A head coach shouldn’t get in Twitter fights about his high school stats
Cathedral I believe are still in the state playoffs that’s interesting. Regardless they had a hell of a season and hopefully Calvin brings some of that to his Alma mater
