5. The Baltimore Orioles will name Chicago Cubs bench coach Brandon Hyde as their new manager.

6. The Philadelphia Phillies signed outfielder Andrew McCutchen to a three-year, $50 million deal.

7. The Toronto Blue Jays released shortstop Troy Tulowitzki with $38 million still remaining on his contract.
