I don’t care if the kid is Tom Brady, this is still public high school sports. There is much more to teach like ethics, team responsibility, school pride. Sure maybe DR wins an extra game but maybe not. It any event the kid, school and team have learned nothing of value that they can benefit from other than me first. Remember the best athlete on the team is very often not the best player on the team.

It sucks and what made it worse was how unprofessional they were when they did it, they didn’t even call him into the school office they did it right there on the field when he showed up to practice. Now little Jose feels entitled.

How does DR justify what? Nin playing ball for them? The kid is a good QB and he transferred to DR it’s that simple. As for the current DR QB the kid better be ready to battle for his spot, that is what usually happens the best kid for the job gets the spot. And what can his old Covina team mates say to him? It is 2019 and transferring is not a big deal.

While Magic is waiting for the knife wounds in his back to heal, he decided to see how effectively HE could slice-up his former team.

We fired our baseball coach before the season ended. We had five games left in the season and a few parents went to the principal and complain that little Jose got yelled at after Jose was disrespectful to the coach. If we had a good record it would have been a bigger issue, but we weren’t having a good season so they fired him before the season finished. This is the same thing that happen at South Hills but their coach had a better record.

What a joke. All it takes is a few parents that failed to do their jobs as parents and want to blame the coach for the shortcomings of their kid. The sad part is school districts don’t have the guts to stand up to parents. They would rather fire a Coach than stand up for them. I get it, there’s bad coaches out there but most of the time the parents are unhappy their kid is riding the pine or can’t take an ass chewing. Instead of teaching their kids to be strong and mentally tough they are convinced their kid is a special little angel and the coach was “bullying” them. If it comes out that these coaches did something really bad then I understand but I can’t understand why districts have no backbone. This is why we have so many walk ons.

If true, how does DR justify that? How does DR’s QB feel about it. How do Covina players feel about it? Another kid not all that great listening to bad advice.
