    Coaching makes a big difference:
#1) The Lakers were actually down by 19 points more than halfway through the third quarter. It looks like the Lakers got lucky with Frank Vogel.
#3) Downey had the better team but Warren still beat them. I don’t see Downey beating La Mirada. Unless Downey’s talents are head and shoulder above their opponent, they have a hard time winning.
#6) Kansas had a better team but Krzyzewski is the better coach.

#8) The young man probably left because varsity coach Mike LeDuc wanted him to play JV for a year. At LA, he could step in and start on varsity this year. He may end up transferring to Mater Dei or Sierra Canyon after a year or two.
#10) Odom is only 40? He just seems older, staying up all night hanging out with the Kardashians does that to a guy.

How much coaching authority has Jeff Lucas agreed to surrender in exchange for landing this big fish? In other words, how much Lavar Ball does papa Jelani have in him?
