Servite is a big time private football factory. HC’s are way over 125,000$ and top assistants close to 100,000$.

Just heard that former LB Poly/Warren head coach Raul Lara has joined the Servite staff as running backs coach. I’ll venture a guess that Lara will be getting something close to that $25k everyone’s talking about.

What are you talking about. A coach gets between $2,000-$4,000 a season before taxes. After taxes he nets $1,500-$3,000. If you want a good coach you got to pay them. Some district realize this and give good incentive packages with a great schedule of classes. The schools that win do this and the schools that lose don’t.

Congrats to Ganesha high girls basketball and boys soccer coaches and players. Great accomplishment!! Your AD is all over twitter taking credit though. Whatever his name is should be a little more humble, and work on winning something himself as a coach. Hell, win at least one league football title before blasting twitter 24/7 about “respecting the process.” Maybe schedule one descent team on your schedule, and quit padding stats. The guy is a complete clown, and is his own biggest fan!

Some OC public programs pay way more than that. Beach area schools make players pay 5,000 $ for “spirit packs” and boosters have huge fund raisers in order to attract the best coaching for their boys and the parents don’t mind. In fact these schools are attracting top players and transfers.

$25,000! No way Jose. That’s probably what they should pay but good luck. They won’t cough up the money and there is some crappy coaches that don’t deserve that.

On Marshall…the school should be ashamed? It’s not their job to keep tabs on every student/athlete. It’s on the kid. They know the rules. He broke them and unfortunately it cost his team. It’s a tough lesson for a young man to learn but make example of him so it doesn’t happen anymore.

No headlines on the Marshall boys soccer team? The school should be ashamed of what they did!

Nah someone really on here trolling! Fake Parent alert.
Questioning someone’s work ethic is not cool at all. I am sure the man works his butt off. Now if we want to call out facts, he did have one good year on a loaded schurr team. After that ? Well…… I guess if you can’t beat them join them.

Didn’t he help win a league championship and take you to the playoffs… I know you ain’t one of us. You are a montebello guy who just hates! Everywhere he goes they compete and win! Nice try! Wish coach Elias the best and really do hate to see him leave. What happened???

I have heard the head football coach stipend in the SGV is approaching 25,000 a season. That is why the competition for an HC job is alot more intense like at Pioneer.

It’s always good form to show support for the lesser athletic programs among us, which is why I tip my hat to the Ganesha Giants for their two major titles. I’d also like to mention in this regard that the Pioneer golf team made the quarterfinals in 1961.

What is with all the Elias love? Has he won ANYTHING? I know he has been a part of two or three staffs that has built programs through recruiting and those programs haven’t been the same since (Buena Park & Schurr). Good luck Arroyo, you are going to need it!
From T. Peterson: Are you kidding me? An experienced assistant coach that has been around for that long that will work that hard for what they get paid? Those guys are gold!
