  1. The Dodgers routed the Atlanta Braves 15-3 Wednesday in Game 3 of the NLCS. The Braves lead the series 2-1. 
  2. The Tennessee Titans beat the Buffalo Bills 42-16 on Tuesday Night Football. The Titans are 4-0 on the season. 
  3. The Houston Astros beat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3 Wednesday night in Game 4 of the ALCS. The Rays still lead the series 3-1. 
  4. The New York Jets released running back Le’Veon Bell. 
  5. Alabama head coach Nick Saban has tested positive for COVID-19.  
  6. Florida has put all football activities on hold after 19 positive COVID-19 tests over the last several days among players, coaches and personnel. 
  7. Stan Van Gundy met with New Orleans Pelicans officials regarding their head coaching position. 
  8. Occidental College announced that they will discontinue its football program effective immediately.  
  9. The Chicago White Sox have received permission from the Angels to talk to Tony La Russa about their managerial opening. La Russa is currently a senior advisor to baseball operations with the Angels. 
  10. On this day in 1986 the Boston Red Sox, after being down 3 games to 1, beat the California Angels 8-1 in Game 7 to win the ALCS.

    With the 2nd wave of the Novel Corona Virus starting earlier than projected the CIF football season for early 2021 is toast. If Saban can catch it with all safety procedures high school teams are doomed. I guess if you don’t care if you get sick and your kid has to play football move to Utah today.
