  2. The Rams improved their record to 5-2 with a 24-10 win over the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
  3. The Rams released rookie kicker Sam Sloman on Tuesday.
  4. “If it’s not a pandemic it’s fires…frustrating. Due to the poor air quality our first day of conditioning has been postponed.”- Sierra Vista Football on Twitter on Tuesday
  5. The Dallas Cowboys traded defensive Everson Griffin to the Detroit Lions for a conditional draft pick.
  6. Wide receiver Dez Bryant, who has been out of the league for two years, was signed to the Baltimore Ravens practice squad.
  7. Alabama kick returner/ WR Jaylen Waddle broke his ankle against Tennessee Saturday and will miss the rest of the season.
  8. On this day in 1989 the Oakland A’s beat the San Francisco Giants 9-6 in Game 4 to sweep the “Earthquake” World Series.
  9. Former Denver Broncos running back (Super Bowl XXXII MVP) Terrell Davis turns 48 today.
  10. “Rams are one of the few teams that can just rush 4 and control. Speed guys wide off the edge daring you to run inside. DT’s too good for that and LB’s fill hard on inside run. Better have a great screen game, good TE play & some smoke on the outside…or you are going to struggle.” – Former Arroyo HC Jim Singiser on Twitter Monday Night.

Welcome to your new closer Gaterol

Re Urias, he did pitch well in the postseason as he threw more curveballs, which is a change in pitch mix. However, his FIP is high and he could easily revert to prior form. So he is still in the unknown outcome camp.
RE: Seager and Arrozerena both did the most to raise their profiles. Seager coming off injury and 2020 under performance and Arrozerena showing himself to be more than a STL Card 4th outfielder type. (K rate still high and he is not necessarily great at the breaking ball). Both show good skills that they have exhibited previously and also underwhelming skills they previously exhibited.
Here are your Dodger potential free agents
    Pedro Baez unless cheap, Gone
Kiké Hernández will be gone to a team that will let him play
    Jake McGee cheap or gone
Joc Pederson gone will go to a team that lets him play
Blake Treinen could stay as Gaterol protection
Justin Turner likely gone, plenty of potential replacements.
    Alex Wood Gone
    Kenley Jansen Going Going Gone
Chris Taylor Who knows still a utility player for the Dodgers .. see Turner..

And there are several players attempting to knock down the door. Rios Smith Lux (see Muncy-Gone? Turner Gone?). and which young starters want to be a long reliever?

Those L.A. Dodger pitchers really came through in Games 5 and 6 of the World Series, allowing the Tampa Bay Rays to score only three runs in the final 18 innings.
And how about Julio Urias, who pitched two and-a-third scoreless innings to record the series-clinching save in Game 6? The fact that Clayton Kershaw won two games during the series shouldn’t be overlooked, either.
Corey Seager, the World Series MVP, and Mookie Betts were the mainstays of the Dodgers’ offense the entire season, with Justin Turner, Chris Taylor, and A.J. Pollock also making substantial contributions at the plate. Even Cody Bellinger and Max Muncy had some moments despite their early hitting struggles.
Congratulations to the Dodgers on their long-awaited title. It doesn’t seem like 32 years since Orel Hershiser dominated the Oakland A’s and Kirk Gibson hit that walkoff home run against Dennis Eckersley.
