  3.  The Chargers will host the Las Vegas Raiders Sunday at 1:05 p.m. at SoFi Stadium.    
  4. The Kansas City Chiefs placed defensive tackle Chris Jones on the reserve/ COVID list Thursday. 
  5. Former Auburn head football coach Tommy Tuberville (Alabama) won a seat in the U.S. Senate Tuesday.    
  6. The college football season opener between California and Washington Saturday was canceled after a Cal player tested positive for COVID-19 and several players were placed into quarantine as possible close contacts. 
  7. The Air Force-Army game scheduled for Saturday was postponed due to COVID-19 issues at Air Force. 
  8. #1 Clemson at #4 Notre Dame Saturday, 4:30 p.m. NBC.
