  1. Freddie Freeman of the Atlanta Braves was named the NL MVP.
  2. The Indianapolis Colts beat the Tennessee Titans 34-17 on Thursday Night Football.
  3. Jose Abreu of the Chicago White Sox was named AL MVP. 
  4. Tiger Woods shot a 4-under-par 68 in the first round of the Masters Thursday in Augusta, Georgia. Woods trails leader Paul Casey by three strokes. 
  5. The Ivy League is canceling winter sports for the 2020-’21 season and is postponing spring sports until the end of February due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

  7. Penn State running back Journey Brown has to medically retire from football after he was discovered to have an issue with his heart. 
  8. Vin Scully is coming out of retirement to narrate the Dodgers official World Series documentary. 
  9. Cincinnati Reds pitcher Trevor Bauer, from Hart High School, won the NL Cy Young Award. Cleveland Indians pitcher Shane Bieber, from Laguna Hills High School, won the AL Cy Young Award. 
  10. Former Atlanta Braves assistant general manager Perry Minasian was named the new GM of the Angels Thursday.
