  1. The Jacksonville Jaguars parted ways with Head Coach Doug Marrone Monday after four plus seasons. 
  2. Denver Broncos GM John Elway is taking an elevated role with the team. A new GM will be hired and will have final say on personnel decisions. Elway will stay on as President of Football Operations. 
  3. The LA Galaxy hired Greg Vanney as their new coach. 
  4. Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald is retiring after 17 years. 
  5. Former Dodger Announcer Vin Scully’s wife Sandi passed away at the age of 76. 
  6. Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders said “nobody” on the team was in favor of the decision to pull quarterback Jalen Hurts for Nate Sudfeld in the 20-14 loss to Washington Sunday night. 
  7. Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be available for the AFC wild-card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday night. Two other coaches and two players also tested positive.   
  8. Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith won the Heisman Trophy.  
  9. Former Dodgers Manager Tommy Lasorda was released from the hospital Tuesday after a seven-week stay. 
  10. Rams HC Sean McVay said he won’t make an announcement on who the starting quarterback will be this week in the playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks Saturday. It will be a game time decision.

    Congratulations to Larry. 17 years, wow longer than I remembered. He will earn over $95,000 a month just from his NFL pension. Great union!
