  1. The New York Mets acquired shortstop Francisco Lindor and pitcher Carlos Carrasco from the Cleveland Indians for four players. 
  2. Orlando Magic Guard Markelle Fultz suffered a season ending ACL injury in his left knee. 
  3. The Dodgers signed reliever Blake Treinen to a two-year, $17.5 million deal. 
  4. The Green Bay Packers announced Thursday that they will allow  6,000 fans to attend the team’s first playoff game either January 16th or 17th in the NFC divisional round. 
  5.  USC wide receiver Tyler Vaughns announced he will enter the 2021 NFL draft. 
  6. Alabama receiver Jaylen Waddle, who has been out with a fractured ankle since mid-October, will be a game day decision Monday against Ohio State in the national championship game. 
  7. Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, as expected, declared for the NFL draft. 
  8. Former Los Altos star guard Jarod Lucas hit five three pointers and led Oregon State in scoring with 22 points in an 81-71 loss to Stanford Monday. 
  9. Former Rosemead/Montebello assistant football coach Gabriel Arellano passed away this week at the age of 39. 
  10. One Year Ago: Alhambra quarterback Noah Rodriguez transferred to Monrovia.

    May Tommy Lasorda rest in peace. He certainly brought passion to the Dodger dugout, and I believe he did his best managing in 1981 and ’88, which were championship years for the Dodgers.

    I think L.A. made a good move in re-signing Blake Treinen. He’ll be a solid right-handed setup man and occasional closer if he can pitch like he did last season.

    Tim, what do you know about the movie “Varsity Punks” filmed at Mountain View HS, released in 2018? Spoiler they beat Arroyo in the film.
