La Serna HC Margarito Beltran

T-Minus-85 Days until “The Mid Valley Classic”

Good Morning!

Looking for a little Bell Gardens help out there…somebody lob me a line.

My feelings about the Jack Del Rio League? Well, I don’t think its going to make me popular in Condor country but, I’m going with The Ranch.

(Vote in the new poll)

Its strange to me, but I’ve been talking football since last season ended and now I’m surprised we are in the middle of the all-star football season.

Its been the fastest football off-season in history…and just in the nick of time…I mean, for sure, the World Cup is going on.

Jack Del Rio League One More Time: Very interested to see what La Serna quarterback Andrew Buenrostro is going to do this year.

Quick thought on the Lancers 2010 non-league schedule; Bonita Vista, Downey, LB Wilson, La Mirada, and Warren went a combined 39-19 last season. Seems like HC Margarito Beltran (20-13 in three seasons) doesn’t believe in the Firebaugh, Sisters of Mercy, Contreras schedule.

I love the rosters for the Hall of Fame game, but then again what’s not too like about an all-star game? I still prefer a good passing tourney, but something like the Hall of Fame game is cool to hang out at…As long as they keeping giving the ball to Lavelle Peterson.

Yeah, well, I didn’t want Texas anyways… I think the Pac Ten should make a move for Huxley College. By the way who is going Texas going to my in conference other than Oklahoma? And since Oklahoma is the only other team in the scaled down Big 12, do they still deserve special BCS consideration?

I love the NBA!

The Celtics are the better team right now, but I think I’m rooting for the Lakers to win…I’ll confirm it after tonight’s game. Something I think would help the Los Angeles cause might be a very physical message sent to Rondo.

Stop letting him penetrate at will, next time he comes in the lane WHACK him! Let him know a drive through the paint is not free. Go Smrek on him!

The way it looks right now, Celts in seven….but with enough incentive I can take Portland in five…It really doesn’t matter, just as long as I don’t have to endure any more World Cup action.

Arroyo wins a passing tourney in Las Vegas…I’ve seen them perform well before…but Monrovia goes all the way to the semifinals in a passing tourney? I thought the Wildcats didn’t throw the ball?

This might be heresy to my friend Blue State, but I like the Giants in their Orange. Reminds me of the glory days of Atlee Hammaker, Johnnie LeMaster, and Guy Sularz.

Last Add M-Town: Note to opponents buckle up if the Cats start tossing the ball… I’ve been saying it; Jay Henderson and Luke Williams are playmakers.

Note to Bonita Alum: My good friend… Even if San Dimas played the weakest schedule in the Mid-Valley Division in 2009 they still won CIF…

Looking forward to a Thursday toss around with Whittier Christian, San Dimas, Walnut, and Diamond Ranch.

I know its breaking everyone’s heart at the hearing of this, but I will not be on “The Mid Valley Sports Show” this Tuesday night. I am having contract issues and my agent and I feel the best course to take is for me to sit out a show.

Last Add Torosian Sitting Out a Show: My sitting out has nothing whatsoever to do with me celebrating my 19th year of marriage or my wife saying she would tear up the contract between us if I did the show. I make my own choices….when I can.

What a difference a month makes…or two months. Earlier this spring we ran a poll on who was going to win the new Hacienda League and Diamond Ranch was a clear winner.

This last week, after some discussion, break down, and chat, West Covina is now the overwhelming choice of the folks at large to take the Hacienda.

Of course this is not a testament to what the 2010 D-Ranch Panthers have, but more about what they’ve lost.

Oh Vince Young, tell me its not true… You are the last person I ever thought would be stupid enough to get into a fist fight, at a strip club, in the middle of the night.

Stay thirsty my friends…
