  1. The Boston Red Sox-New York Yankees game scheduled for Thursday night was postponed after multiple Yankee players tested positive for COVID-19. 
  2. Team USA’s Bradley Beal was ruled out of the Tokyo Olympics due to COVID-19 protocols and Jerami Grant was placed in health and safety protocol. 
  3. The Chicago Cubs traded outfielder Joc Pederson to the Atlanta Braves for minor league first baseman Bryce Ball. 
  4. Seattle Mariners left-hander Hector Santiago’s 10-game suspension for having a foreign substance on his glove was upheld after an appeal. 
  5. The LA Galaxy is currently in third place in the Western Conference with a record of 8-4-0 while LAFC is fifth at 5-4-3. 
  6. The New Orleans Pelicans are nearing a deal to hire Phoenix Suns assistant Willie Green as their head coach. 
  7. Temple City still hasn’t hired a head football coach. 
  8. Former Dallas Cowboys head coach/ current NFL analyst Jimmy Johnson turns 78 today. 
  9.  Hart High School will retire the nickname Indians by June 2025. 
  10. Milwaukee Bucks at Phoenix Suns, Game 5 NBA Finals, Saturday night 6:00 p.m. PT.

    Several years ago the TC youth program closed it’s doors, and it seems TCHS might do the same soon. Sad.
