  1. The South El Monte-Alhambra game Friday night will be played at Keppel High School. The City of Alhambra is in the process of refurbishing Moor Field.  
  2. Freshman quarterback Hype Grand (cool name) has transferred from Glendora to Pasadena. 
  3. A temporary restraining order against Dodger pitcher Trevor Bauer has been dissolved after a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled against a woman’s request for a permanent restraining order Thursday. 
  4. A brawl ended a joint practice between the Rams and the Las Vegas Raiders Thursday in Thousand Oaks. 
  5. “Hype Grand is the #2 ranked quarterback in California according to a couple of ranking lists. He’s a great talent.” – Pasadena OC Robert Maxie. 
  6. Former Gabrielino star Rikiya Satoh (Class of 2016) who went on the play football at Cal Lutheran, is now playing American football in Japan in their semi-professional X-League.   
  7. The Dodgers had the second best record in baseball at 75-46 coming into Thursday night’s action but were still three games behind the San Francisco Giants in the NL West. 
  8. Former Detroit Tigers catcher/ 11-time All-Star Bill Freehan passed away Thursday at the age of 79. 
  9. The Angels Shohei Ohtani has 40 home runs and is 8-1 with a 2.79 ERA. 
  10. Torrance beat New England 10-2 Thursday in the Little League World Series opener in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
