  1. After being down 14-0 in the first quarter Baldwin Park outscored Rosemead 35-6 the rest of the way to beat the Panthers 35-20 Thursday night. 
  2. The Washington Football Team beat the New York Giants 30-29 on Thursday Night Football. 
  3. The Dodgers (94-53) have clinched a playoff berth but are still one game behind the San Francisco Giants in the National League West with 15 games to play. 
  4. San Gabriel is 4-0 after a 20-17 win over San Marino Thursday night. 
  5. USC at Washington State, Saturday, 12:30 p.m. FOX. 
  6. Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy has emerged as a candidate for the USC head coaching job. 
  7. “If we’re starting to freak out after one week, we’re in big trouble.” – Green Bay Packer quarterback Aaron Rodgers. 
  8. Rams at Indianapolis Colts, Sunday 10:00 a.m. FOX. 
  9. “No chance. I’m here and committed to try to build an organization.” Jacksonville Jaguar HC Urban Meyer when asked if he would be interested in the USC job. 
  10. The Seattle Kraken will play their first NHL game October 12 against the Vegas Golden Knights in the season opener on ESPN.

    I believed San Marino would be a good test for the Matadors, and they passed with flying colors. The Almont should be fun this season.
