ER vs Cal, plenty of reasons to get there early. 1st great game it’s football right? 2nd ER Homecoming. 3rd La Serna has no game this week so this is a perfect time for La Serna coaches players and fans to scout both teams up close. Film is one thing but live is so much better. Now my take is that Cal needs a playoff spot. A win here assures that. They have runners, receivers and a QB that puts up strong numbers and have played against quality opposition. They proved they can play hard for 4 quarters, something the Dons have not had to do. As for ER one thing is certain. Medrano always seems to come up with wrinkles in big games. Its like if you have pocket aces he has pocket deuces and then two more turn up on the flop. He can change the entire offensive scheme with a wave if his wand. That is why ER has beaten highly rated teams once in the playoffs. With all the emotion running at a fever pitch it is the team that has energy and focus left in the last quarter that wins.
