  1. The Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees 6-2 in the AL Wild Card game Tuesday night. 
  2. The Chargers beat the Las Vegas Raiders 28-14 on Monday Night Football. 
  3. Charter Oak Receiver/ATH Sam Mason took an official visit to Oregon State this past weekend. 
  4. La Canada will play Pasadena Poly in the LA Memorial Coliseum Thursday night October 21st. 
  5. The New York Mets announced that Luis Rojas won’t be returning as manager next season.  
  6. The Dallas Cowboys released former Pro Bowl linebacker Jaylon Smith Tuesday. 
  7. AP College Football Top 5: 1. Alabama 2. Georgia 3. Iowa 4. Penn St. 5. Cincinnati. 
  8. Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery is expected to miss 4-5 weeks with a sprained left knee. 
  9. The Kansas City Chiefs have promoted wide receiver Josh Gordon to the 53-man roster. 
  10. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that pitcher neither Clayton Kershaw  nor first baseman Max Muncy will need surgery for their injuries. Kershaw is out for the season but Muncy could return later this month if the Dodgers advance in the playoffs.
