  1. The Atlanta Braves beat the Dodgers 4-2 Saturday night to win the NLCS in six games. The Houston Astros beat the Boston Red Sox 5-0 Friday night to win the ALCS in six games. 
  2. The World Series is set: Atlanta Braves vs. Houston Astros. Game 1 is Tuesday night in Houston. 
  3. Sportsbooks have installed the Astros as the World Series favorites over the Braves. 
  4. Notre Dame beat USC 31-16 Saturday night in South Bend, Indiana. The Trojans dropped to 3-4 on the year. 
  5. Oregon beat UCLA 34-31 Saturday at the Rose Bowl. The Bruins dropped to 5-3 on the year. 
  6. AP College Football Top 5: 1. Georgia 2. Cincinnati 3. Alabama 4. Oklahoma 5. Ohio St. 
  7. Santa Ana College beat Citrus 49-13 Saturday to improve to 4-3 on the year. 
  8. La Serna receiver Jake George has 49 catches for 815 yards and 11 touchdowns in nine games this season. 
  9. With a 31-5 win over the Houston Texans Sunday, the Arizona Cardinals at 7-0 are the only undefeated team left in the NFL. 
  10. Mike Eruzione, a key player on the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” U.S. Gold Medal winning hockey team, turns 67 today.
