- Bryce Young threw for 421 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead Alabama to a 41-24 win over Georgia Saturday to propel the Crimson Tide to the number one seed.
- The Chargers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 41-22 Sunday to improve to 7-5 on the year.
- The Rams routed the Jacksonville Jaguars 37-7 Sunday to improve to 8-4 and snap a 3 game losing streak.
- USC finished the season at 4-8 with a 24-14 loss to Cal Saturday night.
- Northview will play Sacred Heart Cathedral in the D-4 State championship game Saturday night in Kezar Stadium in San Francisco.
- The La Puente head football coaching position is open. The administration told previous HC Martin Soto that the position had to be flown yearly to allow a chance for certificated staff to apply. They said he could reapply but no guarantees. Opening is listed on the CIFSS website.
- Clemson DC Brent Venables has agreed to be come the new head coach at Oklahoma to replace Lincoln Riley.
- Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal is in negotiations to become the new head football coach at Miami.
- UCLA will face North Carolina State in the Holiday Bowl at Petco Park in San Diego on December 28th.
