I just learned Jake George’s aunt and cousin were on board the helicopter that killed Kobe Bryant. It was the sister and niece of his father and HC Andy George. Very sad. They played though a lot this year.

Craps on kids? One is old enough to vote and the other is an AARP member. Don’t get your panties in a bunch old man.

Kid is very polite and humble. Congrats to him and the program. It would be nice if they could move out of that league. The league is very weak and holds kids down. They need to go back to scrimmaging LH. Those were the days. Them boys would battle but kids were getting hurt.

    1. Kid is a stud! Probably the best WR in the area.

    2. Being a part of a power 5 school is a HUGE accomplishment.

    3. I don’t know him personally nor do I know the family thought process. BUT I’m not sure why kids and families are so D-1 or bust that they turn down full rides from FCS and D2 schools just to be a walk on at a power 5 school? I guess if you have the money, go ahead and shoot your shot but most people don’t have the luxury to turn down a free education.

    4. Best of luck to the young man.

Not true! The district didn’t want to do it.

There should be a league of La Mirada, La Serna, La Habra.

Congrats to Jake, but if we are talking big boy football I’ll probably gosomewhere where league will actually be a challenge, La Mirada had the balls to go into the SGV League. La Serna wanted no part of that last time it was proposed.

Kid is a straight up stud…! Only playing WR for 3 years. I hope Arizona knows getting this 3⭐️ to take a PWO is huge. George is just as good or better than the other WR’s getting scholarship offers in the area..he deserves the same respect! Good luck kid no matter where you end up!

huge upside to this kid, has only been playing WR these last three years and has put in countless hours during the offseason and during the season. Looks like he was born to play the position! Coaches did a hell of a job with this one and should be an eye opener to the other schools in the league…. go to LS if you want to play some BIG BOY D4 football….

This kid is plain and simple a great captain, great teammate, a total TEAM player and a WINNER!! As a sophomore he moved from the QB position (in which he dominated play as a Freshman) to play WR and the rest his La Serna Football History. During his 3 years on the Varsity LS is 28-4. I’ve Seen plenty of “ballers” in my 45+ years but this kid truly is one of the best I’ve been around!!!

Nice to see a guy from the Whittier area make the big time. Hope this means he’ll also play on Sundays in a few years.
