  1. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Chargers 34-28 in overtime on Thursday Night Football. 
  2. Urban Meyer is fired by the Jacksonville Jaguars 13 games into his first season. 
  3. The Lakers and the Clippers are both 16-13 and tied for fifth in the Western Conference. 
  4. Happy Birthday to Monrovia head coach Chris Williams who celebrated yesterday December 16th. 
  5. Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett will opt out of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and will begin preparations for the NFL draft. 
  6. The Rams have placed 25 players, including cornerback Jalen Ramsey, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and linebacker Von Miller, on the reserve/COVID-19 list since Saturday. 
  7. MLB has approved Justin Verlander’s two-year, $50 million contract with the Houston Astros. 
  8. Danny Ainge has joined the Utah Jazz front office as alternate governor and CEO. 
  9. Former Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez is transferring to Kansas State. 
  10. The number-2 ranked recruit in the country, defensive back Travis Hunter, signed with Jackson State Wednesday.
