(West Covina) – Danilo Robinson has stepped down as the head football coach at South Hills after three seasons.
Robinson took over for Matt Bechtel after the 2019 season in which Bechtel led the Huskies to the CIF Championship but then left to take the head coach job at Damien.
Robinson led South Hills to a 5-6 record in his first year and a spot in the CIF playoffs where the Huskies fell to Roosevelt in the first round.
But South Hills has gone 0-12 the last two seasons including 0-10 this past season. The Huskies lost the only two games they played in the Spring season. Robinson had an overall record of 5-18 in his three-year tenure.
South Hills will begin the search for a new head coach immediately.
What about their personal records as coaches as being their sales pitch think about that !!
Mena out at Gabrielino after one year
Matty v would be the first call can bring the talent level up
If X’s and O’s don’t matter, I guess Lincoln Riley is hugely overrated. Troy might have done better hiring one of the ultimate salespeople: a U.S. senator or congressman.
When you are trying to win as schools are allowed to poach your talent or players trained to always be looking for greener grass. being a high school coach is no picnic. Top coaches are not X’s and O’s anymore but are top salesmen.
