  1. The Tennessee Titans beat the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 on Thursday Night Football. 
  2. Rutgers will replace Texas A&M as the opponent for Wake Forest in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. Texas A&M withdrew from the game due to COVID-19 cases. 
  3. Miami (Ohio) beat North Texas 27-14 Thursday in the Frisco Football Classic. 
  4. Georgia high school quarterback Robbie Roper, a 2022 recruit, passed away after complications from a routine surgery. 
  5. Former LA Galaxy star Jonathan dos Santos has joined La Liga MX side Club America. 
  6. The Dodgers and Cody Bellinger agreed to a one-year $17 million deal before the lockout. 
  7. Joe Johnson, 40, rejoined the NBA with the Boston Celtics, the same team that drafted him 20 years ago. 
  8. Damien head basketball coach Mike LeDuc became the second coach in California history to win 1,000 games with an 82-47 win over Glendora Wednesday night. LeDuc won four championships at Glendora before taking over at Damien. 
  9. The Maranatha Boys basketball team won the Tarkanian Classic Tournament in Las Vegas.

    COACH LA DUC WAS ALSO AT DAMIEN BEFORE HE WAS AT GLENDORA HIGH TOO. WHEN I WAS AT EL MONTE WE PLAYED IN THE 1ST DAMIEN BASKETBALL CLASSIC AROUND 82 OR 83 AND HE WAS COACH THERE AND ALSO HIS BRO TOO
