  1. Kansas St. beat LSU 42-20 in the TaxAct Texas Bowl Tuesday night. 
  2. The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cleveland Browns 26-14 on Monday Night Football in possibly Ben Roethlisberger’s last game at Heinz Field. 
  3. Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield will have shoulder surgery and will miss the season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday. Cleveland is already eliminated from playoff contention. 
  4. Oklahoma Freshman quarterback Caleb Williams has entered the transfer portal. 
  5. USC OLB Drake Jackson announced he will enter the NFL draft. 
  6. Cincinnati Bearcats DB Coby Bryant won the Jim Thorpe Award as the top defensive back in college football this season. 
  7. Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Nate Hobbs was arrested on a DUI charge in Las Vegas just hours after the Raiders win over the Indianapolis Colts Sunday. 
  8. “I “ticked” off a few hardcore Covina peeps when I said I support the kid no matter where he plays.. I truly mean it. Would love for him to stay a Colt but that is a selfish reason. The young man and his parents need to do what will be best for the kid. If going to greener pastures ( Monrovia colors ) is what is felt as the best move…party on Garth.. Life’s too short not to go big or go home.
