(Monrovia) -Monrovia wide receiver Carlos Hernandez has committed to Washington State he announced Tuesday.

Last year as a junior Hernandez had 71 receptions for 1,594 yards and 23 touchdowns for the Wildcats who finished 10-1 overall. Hernandez had several offers before deciding on Washington State.

“The coaching staff was a big reason for me. They made it feel like home and showed endless love! Smart coaching staff. They know what they’re doing, the players made it even better. They made me feel comfortable and showed love too. A big thing with the team is they hold each other accountable, and there’s no egos on the team,” Hernandez said.

Now Hernandez will get ready for his senior season before joining the Cougars in 2023.
