We can go away from Montebello, Bell Gardens due to history (they need to step up) .. but lets not forget it wasn’t so long ago that Montebello beat the local private school and we still beat Montebello

Norwalk held its own last year in suburban league
Sierra Vista fell off once matt left them. how would we know
santa ana is a tough team in OC… they got covid and we got COVINA who was supposed to beat us and look what we did to them
i wish we would have landed lower in playoffs… we would have a ring right now… or if they left the playoffs like the year before.. we would have a ring.
this year we added monrovia and mayfair… now let them have a fall out season and then we got a cupcake schedule and its our fault again…
we are scheduling teams that will be a challenge for US.. not our fault they fall off the map..

Actually preseason games vs Monrovia and Mayfair represent a big jump from
last years group of patsies; sometimes you can’t predict ups and Downs of other programs with coaching changes and transfers ( how did Don Lugo fall so low ?)
A team needs confidence and some easy games along the way are generally a good thing if trying to close the gap in programs.
Rancho18 what excuse you coming up with when you lose this year? Seeing from ER’s schedule it looks pathetic. You need a new AD and try to schedule some better games. Better yet lose all the preseason then come in 2nd for DRL and you have a shot at the D15

@ Ranch18 you’re a 5’9 overweight idoit who never did anything in life. ER blows! Always choke. You say the same thing every year and end up 2nd place. You sound like a cowboy fan every year is your year.
Granted yes you did smash ER last year, as bad as the stadium might look at this point it’s still the only school in the Del Rio that has its very own stadium. The stadium won’t stay as is forever, no money was stolen, the district is sitting on the money, politics have delayed progress, but it will happen. Everyone knows you are a Cal High shill who can’t stand constantly coming in 3rd behind LS and ER, therefore you constantly want to use LS’s name to hate on anything El Rancho. Most of the LS people I know really don’t care to talk smack about any DRL team because they’ve been winning so long that everyone in the league doesn’t matter to them.
Come on dude! We kicked the crap out of you last year when you were undefeated and you were supposed to beat us. We beat you 42 to 7. Jake Long and Jake George made you look stupid! The only place you live rent free is your mama’s basement with one in on the computer the other hand somewhere else. Don’t take it personal but Thank you for proving my point. All the more reason they need more athletes. Top guy cramps and there aren’t others to rely on hence they need more athletes. Wasn’t saying what they have is bad but saying they need more.
Lol, El Rancho “needs more athletes” yet got into the semis and should’ve won if not for one of the top WR’s cramping up and not playing, but Cal High and Montebello have weapons and look sharp. Hahaha
Arroyo didn’t look good? I thought they were loaded this year???

Coach Medrano once again showing magic. Im super happy with how ER did in the day. we showed alot of good but also have alot to work on. Dont doubt Coach Medrano will have these boys ready come day one. LS looked nasty, too nasty… they will be tough this year, and to think its still a young team is crazy! Best believe we still coming for that A$$ , aint nobody in the Del Rio League going to just roll over and let you pass with out putting up a fight. To think they are a run first team.. wow lol… Your QB looked good, He looked like a LB ( in a Good way before i have all the LS nUttyHuGs attack me) he looks like he put some good muscle and mechanics were sharp, cant wait to see how he does in pads… hes going to tuck that ball and go down hill like a FB easy! lol .

How Alhambra looking
La Serna- absolutely loaded. As good as they are on offense, even better on defense.
Monrovia- Not a lot of depth but their skill guys have real speed! Seemed tired by the time they played La Serna.
El Rancho- Some pretty good skill position players but need a few more. Also seemed tired against Culver City. Covina shootout was a good one.
Covina- Jake the snake is obviously good. Defense looked suspect against El Rancho but easily dominated Dominguez and Diamond Bar.
Montebello- The Oilers are back. They looked very sharp
Schurr- Not bad. Not great. Predict Montebello beats them
Arroyo- Not your Arroyo or old. Good team that will win the MVL but not much past that.
San Dimas- they run the ball so this doesn’t matter
Cal- Lots of athletes on both sides of the ball.
Looking forward to the Air Assault at Bonita in a couple weeks.
Long was solid. LS league favorite. ER battle for 2nd but don’t count out Cal. Whittier well it’s Whittier.
Looking forward to another solid season for the El Rancho Dons!
