Spathias and Urias have no need to recruit Bassett players. They will coach players up as good as they can (well at least offensively and special teams) . I believe this staff is full of winners, and if they were not they would not take ‘show’ on the road. SPATHIAS is a great guy, and THIS STAFF’s success is scientifically based

??? I may be misinterpreting your comment, but if you mean only teams with D1 athletes are worth risk (what risk?) of playing football ???? Far out

When you are losing to -40 rated teams 50-0 there is no more down left to sink to. The CTE era is kicking in full force in the next 3 years. Only schools that feature D1 college prospects will find fielding football teams worth the risk. I predict each league or leagues will combine and have one team represent them. For example, La Serna-Del Rio. Arroyo- Almont,Mission Valley. Monrovia- Rio Hondo, Gold Coast.

From T. Peterson: Reports are that Keppel is dropping the football program. That’s why I didn’t include them.

It’s a shame if Spathais is doing that. It was his choice to leave Bassett. I don’t think Bassett kids will help El Monte win CIF.

Hey Tim, I hear Spathias is trying to poach from his old Bassett roster. Bassett to El Monte??? How does this impact the kid at all. What a joke! I hope the admin does something about this.

The Almont League teams all have Keppel scheduled. CIF should get off their duffs and clarify what schools are not fielding teams.

Believe it or not is right !

What’s the deal at LaPuente ? PTSD after Williams fiasco ?
At least Temple City has a reason ; even someone praying for coaching opportunity would be hesitant to shoulder these responsibilities!!

Dang 6 weeks to get your troops ready and the clock is ticking? LP and TC are in trouble. Especially since talent is probably thin. Kudos to the kids that are still there grinding it out.
