  1. Former Dodgers announcer/ Dodgers legend Vin Scully passed away Tuesday night at the age of 94. Scully worked for the Dodgers for 67 years.
  2. Denver Broncos receiver Tim Patrick suffered a torn ACL in practice Tuesday and is out for the season.
  3. The San Diego Padres acquired outfielder Juan Soto and first baseman Josh Bell from the Washington Nationals for five prospects and first baseman Luke Voit.
  4. The Padres also acquired reliever Josh Hader from the Milwaukee Brewers for four prospects.
  5. The New York Yankees acquired pitcher Frankie Montas and reliever Lou Trivino from the Oakland A’s for four minor league players.
  6. Tiger Woods turned down a $700-$800 million offer to join LIV golf.
  7. The Philadelphia Phillies acquired right-hander Noah Syndergaard, reliever David Robertson and centerfielder Brandon Marsh in three separate trades.
  8. The Angels received catcher Logan O’Hoppe from the Phillies for Marsh and two prospects for Syndergaard.
  9. The Dodgers acquired outfielder Joey Gallo from the New York Yankees for minor league pitcher Clayton Beemer.

    Went to the Big A Thursday to watch my old team. We pounded out 7 dingers……..and still lost 8-7.
