- Former Dodgers announcer/ Dodgers legend Vin Scully passed away Tuesday night at the age of 94. Scully worked for the Dodgers for 67 years.
- Denver Broncos receiver Tim Patrick suffered a torn ACL in practice Tuesday and is out for the season.
- The San Diego Padres acquired outfielder Juan Soto and first baseman Josh Bell from the Washington Nationals for five prospects and first baseman Luke Voit.
- The Padres also acquired reliever Josh Hader from the Milwaukee Brewers for four prospects.
- The New York Yankees acquired pitcher Frankie Montas and reliever Lou Trivino from the Oakland A’s for four minor league players.
- Tiger Woods turned down a $700-$800 million offer to join LIV golf.
- The Philadelphia Phillies acquired right-hander Noah Syndergaard, reliever David Robertson and centerfielder Brandon Marsh in three separate trades.
- The Angels received catcher Logan O’Hoppe from the Phillies for Marsh and two prospects for Syndergaard.
- The Dodgers acquired outfielder Joey Gallo from the New York Yankees for minor league pitcher Clayton Beemer.
