  1. UCLA beat Bowling Green 45-17 Saturday at the Rose Bowl to kick off the College Football season. 
  2. Ohio State beat Notre Dame 21-10 Saturday in the opener. 
  3. Charter Oak’s Richie Munoz threw 3 touchdown passes in a win over Glendora Friday night. Bishop Amat’s Richie Munoz threw for 115 yards and a touchdown in a loss to St. John Bosco. 
  4. Zac Gallen of the Arizona Diamondbacks tied the major league record with his sixth consecutive scoreless start on Sunday and extended his scoreless streak to 41 1/3 scoreless innings. 
  5. Florida State (2-0) blocked an extra point attempt with no time remaining to beat LSU (0-1) 24-23 Sunday night. 
  6. Monrovia (3-0) at Ayala (3-0) Friday night, 7:00 p.m. 
  7. Former Muir Mustang Calen Bullock had a 93-yard pick six for USC Saturday. 
  8. The Dodgers beat the San Diego Padres 9-4 Sunday to take 2 out of 3 in the series. 
  9. Serena Williams lost in the third round of the US Open Friday night as her playing career came to an end. 
  10. Keppel has been outscored 180-8 in its first three games.
