(Montclair) – Sierra Vista’s defense came to play shutting down Montclair’s offense in their 29-3 victory over the Cavilers Friday night at Montclair high school.

The Dons first drive was stopped by a fumble.

A three and out for the Cavilers gave the ball back to Sierra Vista who drove the ball down field and running back Kimbom Aseh sliced through the defense for a 35-yard touchdown. A two-point conversion made it 8-0.

Turnovers from both teams kept the score 8-0 until Alexis Alonzo hit a wide open Eric “Tarzan” Terrazas for a 23-yard touchdown pass making it 16-0 after another successful two-point conversion.

The score stood the same through half until Terrazas finally broke one on the ground a 46-yard touchdown to paydirt, a missed two-point conversion had the game at 22-0.

Montclair got on the board early in the fourth quarter when Juan Rocha hit a 35-yard field goal.

Dons got on the board again with around two minutes left in the game with another Terrazas touchdown, this one from 22-yards out. Eric Alvarado hit the point after to make it 29-3.

Sierra Vista held the Cavilers on their last drive stopping them on the goal line on the last play of the game.

Terrazas finished with 23-carries for 235-yards and a reception for 23-yards and 3 touchdowns.

Armando Serrano had a fumble recovery while Aseh and Cyron McAdams had interceptions for the Dons on defense.

Aseh also tacked on 95-yards on the ground and a score.

The Dons, who finished 0-8 last year, are 6-3 and will finish the regular season at home against Wilson (Hacienda Heights). Montclair (4-5) will face Baldwin Park to close out the season.

So even more of a great story a transfer that hasn’t played since freshmen ball and a guy that didn’t make it through the season last year he quit. But yet two of the best players on the team and field. #5 I see every week making plays and #52.

Same players? The RB did not play last year and the El Monte transfer is one of the top athletes of the field. Take away those 2 and you have the team from last year. No one else on the field is making plays for them.

From what I seen BP is a pretty good team last two plus seasons 22-3. This SV team with the same players went 0-8 last year well BP went 10-0. You’re making Bap sound like bums.

Coach Ciniceros is one of the most under appreciated coaches. Is it because he’s a Chicano coach that doesn’t have Twitter fingers? He took a team that wasn’t competitive at all last year and is going to have them go 7-3 and in the playoffs. Is it because of the offensive he run, it’s not what you see on TV all that flash. Transfers are we talking about transfers tell me a successful school winning winning that does get kids coming in to play for them. No credible transfers this year. He’s respected by respected coaches and he doesn’t a lot with a little.
