(Norwalk)- Jachai Pulley had three scores and an interception to lead Muir to a 21-0 shutout victory over Norwalk Friday night at Lancers Stadium.
Mustangs got the ball first and drove 65-yards on nine plays capping it off with a two-yard run from Pulley.
Lancers would then turn the ball over on downs on their first possession.
Norwalk forced a punt on the next Muir possession.
The Lancers biggest play of the game came on a 45-yard run from David Herrera setting them up on the 7-yard line, they couldn’t punch it in and would get their 21-yard field goal attempt blocked.
The last play of the half Pulley intercepted a Caden Barnhill pass and took it 70-yards for the score but it was called back on a penalty.
The score would stay 7-0 going into half.
Norwalk had the ball first in the second half would go three and out.
A 50-yard run from Pulley would set him up for a seven yard touchdown two plays later making it 14-0 with 7:52 left in the third quarter.
On Muir’s next possession they went to the air and Sean Baker found a wide open Alexander Miller on a 32-yard pass to paydirt, making it 21-0 late in the third.
Norwalk never threatened again to score and would lose the ball on a fumble and on downs.
Larry Thomas dominated from on both sides of the ball for the Mustangs.
Herrera finished with 143-yards on 28-carries.
Michael Mueller, the Lancers other thousand-yard rusher, had 3-yards on 13-touches.
Muir (7-5) will face Baldwin Park (10-2) next week in the semifinals while Norwalk finished its season at 10-2.
